About Us

About Us – The Legacy of Wadi Rum

Who We Are?

We are Ahmad (27 years old) and my cousin Abdullah (21 years old), sons of Wadi Rum, born beneath its towering red cliffs and endless skies. This desert shaped our childhood, whispered its secrets into our ears, and taught us that silence can speak the language of eternity.

Since we were children, we worked in tourism, guiding travelers who came to see the wonders of Wadi Rum. But in recent years, we watched our beloved desert change.

Luxury camps rose like mirages, bright lights drowned out the stars, and the roar of engines chased away the desert’s quiet. Investors arrived, eager to build more, with little thought for the fragile balance of life here. Plants vanished under tire tracks, wild animals fled deeper into the wilderness, and the true soul of Wadi Rum began to fade.

Then came the day that changed everything.

We visited a hidden place where our ancestors once lived. We found it buried beneath thousands of plastic bottles and scattered waste carried by the wind. Our hearts broke.

We spent hours cleaning, determined that this would not be our legacy.

We vowed that our story would be different.

Our Mission:

To protect the timeless spirit of Wadi Rum, and share it with those who seek more than just a photograph.

We wish to welcome travelers into the silence, the stars, and the poetry of Wadi Rum desert. To help them feel the same wonder our ancestors felt. And to ensure that no footprint we leave behind scars the land we love.

Our Vision:

We believe that Wadi Rum is not ours to own. It belongs to the past and the future.

We walk here as guests, borrowing its beauty for a brief moment, so we may pass it on to those who come after us.

We dream of a kind of tourism that honors the desert instead of exploiting it. Where travelers come not only to see, but to feel—to listen, to breathe, and to remember.
